The One BReath Project a non-profit organization that was created to provide a collaborative hub for local community organizations. Our mission is to facilitate a culture of wellness in the North Baton Rouge and surrounding communities. We believe that when community organizations work together, we can make a greater impact.

About Our One Village Baby Shower
The One Village Baby Shower is an initiative that was created in 2019 by our founder, Nikky Scott. The goal was to provide expecting mothers with a baby shower that they wouldn’t be able to have due to financial burden or homelessness. The One BReath Project collaborated with It Takes a Village BR to provide a variety of baby items and resources, completely donated by the community members and local organizations. Over 20 mothers received brand new carseats, bassinets, play pens, diapers, wipes and more. The first annual One Village Baby Shower was hosted on January 31st, 2020.
In 2021, the shower was hosted virtually in order to protect the new parents and their babies during the height of the pandemic. About 15 mothers were gifted items for their babies during this shower. Moving the shower online introduced the shower to a wider audience, and allowed the One BReath Project to continue distribution of baby items throughout the year. Parents are able to register for items online, and distribution days are on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. The following link is for the Baby Item Pick Up: Baby Item Pickup
Each year, between November 1st and January 31st, we host a donation drive. Many of the items are donated via community partners like the Junior League through their diaper bank, and the Baton Rouge Food Bank. We also accept donations via our donation information above. For the 2022 One Village Baby Shower, One BReath Project has an Amazon baby shower registration. The items are shipped directly to us, so you won’t even need to leave your home! We would like to thank everyone who has donated, volunteered, and shared our information. We are especially proud to host one of the only consistent Baby Showers in East Baton Rouge!
